INTRODUCTION to Arabic 101 and Arabic 102

As you have noticed, the navigation of the page has changed. You need Macromedia Flash 7 Player in order to use the navigation.

Arabic 101 and 102 are designed to introduce students to both Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) and the Egyptian dialect. Online materials for both MSA and Egyptian Arabic are available. Each teacher can decide for themselves which materials are most useful for their class. A class' curriculum can be taught with the MSA supplemental materials, with the Egyptian dialect materials, or with a mixture of the two.

For a more in-depth look at the reasons for teaching Egyptian along with MSA, as well as an explanation of the materials we are offering here, please refer to our "Teacher Guide"
